You will be a part of the world’s largest aggregator of research papers, which has been active in the market since 2011. Our client needs a Web Developer who will take part in updating the product’s tech stack and interface, focusing on enhancing its usability.
You will be part of the company, the project of which is considered among the 1,500 most used websites globally and has over 40 million monthly active users worldwide.
— very good knowledge of and at least 2-year experience with web development;
— good knowledge of HTML and CSS;
— deep knowledge of client-server communication, asynchronous requests, understanding of RESTful APIs;
— working knowledge of the Linux environment;
— experience with version control and issue tracking systems such as Git and Jira;
— good knowledge with working and querying databases;
— willingness to learn new things.
Will be a plus
— experience in using React or other front-end framework;
— knowledge of web accessibility, WCAG 2.1;
— good skills in PHP, especially applied to web development and use of web framework such as Symfony;
— working knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB or other relational database;
— experience with developing RESTful APIs;
— knowledge of Python and/or Java, or willingness to learn those languages;
— continuous Integration understanding, ability to setup and maintain GitHub actions, Jenkins jobs or a similar system;
— basic knowledge of design, including inclusive web design.
