10 Years In: How Qubit Labs Went From an Idea to an Industry Leader

A decade ago, a group of ambitious professionals set out to help companies discover Ukraine’s potential as a major tech hub. We had the vision, the energy, and ambitious plans. That bold idea has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Today, Qubit Labs connects businesses across 10+ industries and 25 countries with skilled engineers worldwide. What began as a local company has transformed into an international leader, recognized as one of the best staff augmentation companies in Eastern Europe.

Key Milestones

2016-2018

Qubit Labs launched in 2016 with a simple goal: help companies scale engineering capabilities without hiring headaches while keeping costs under control. Instead of becoming just another IT outsourcing company, we focused on building remote teams that felt like an in-house extension. In 2018, Qubit Labs began hosting community meetups and launched what would later become the nationwide Women in Tech Ukraine (WiT) initiative.

2020-2022

Our company embraced remote work and rolled out a hiring service across Eastern Europe, opening the door to larger talent pools and faster delivery for our clients. We also introduced a dedicated team model built specifically for VC-backed funds. Along the way, our team took the stage at global events, sharing hard-won lessons on scaling and managing distributed teams

2023-2025

We strengthened our presence in London, Warsaw, and Stockholm and expanded our service offerings with a market research & talent mapping solution and a 24-hour hiring bench. Also, to support the sustainable growth of our clients and back up their hiring decisions with our expertise, we launched a job description generator, a software team cost calculator, and an IT outsourcing cost savings calculator.

Over the years, we’ve turned our hiring expertise into actionable market intelligence, publishing more than five comprehensive industry reports annually.

Present

Today, we operate in over 19 countries and serve clients across 25 nations. We’re continuously evolving, scaling our services and growing our pool of experts available for hire. We expanded into AI staff augmentation, integration, and deep tech recruitment, giving companies a way to close even the toughest talent gaps.

As the market evolves, so do our solutions. To help companies overcome deep tech hiring challenges, we launched the Deep Tech Unlocked Initiative that connects founders with experienced industry experts. We also built a Deep Tech Talent Community that brings together researchers, engineers, innovators, and investors through workshops, mentoring, and valuable networking opportunities.

Our social initiative, WiT Ukraine, was born to promote equality and support women in the tech industry. It has transformed thousands of lives through hands-on programs and community support.
